2025 Jeep Gladiator vs 2024 Gladiator

2025 Jeep Gladiator vs. 2024 Gladiator

There's nothing quite like the Jeep Gladiator anywhere else on the market. It's a pickup truck that combines Jeep Wrangler off-road capabilities with a bed in the back where you can haul plenty of cargo. The Gladiator allows you to remove the top and the doors so you can have fun letting Mother Nature rain down on you, making this the only open air pickup you can buy. Jeep hasn't announced the official release date for the 2025 Gladiator but here's how it will be different from the 2024 model that you can ask us about at Parkway Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Clinton Township, MI.

How is the 2025 Gladiator from the 2024 version?

The manual transmission that was available on the 2024 model has been discontinued and that makes the eight-speed automatic the only available choice. Power locks and power windows now come standard on the base Sport trim and Jeep is introducing two new exterior paint colors: Fathom Blue and a military-based olive drab that's known simply as '41. A new Active Cabin Ventilation system is being made available that will let you pre-heat or cool the interior with a mobile app.

The engine and performance

Every 2025 Jeep Gladiator will be powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, just like the 2024 model. There's no longer a standard six-speed manual transmission so the previously optional eight-speed automatic is now the standard arrangement. Just like the 2024 model, the 2025 Gladiator will give you 19.4 more inches between the front and rear wheels than the Wrangler, which helps improve ride and handling. Available off-road equipment is the same for both 2024 and 2025 and includes skid plates, rock-crawling axle ratios and the ability to ford up to 30 inches of water. Both 2024 and 2025 Gladiator pickups have plenty of ground clearance to help make the Gladiator more effective off-road.

Towing, payload, acceleration and fuel economy

The maximum towing capacity on both the 2025 and 2024 Jeep Gladiator pickups is a remarkable 7700 pounds when either model is equipped with the available Max Tow package. Without that equipment, the Gladiator can tow a 4000-pound trailer for both 2024 and 2025, and that's more than the Wrangler with 3500 pounds. The cargo bed can haul up to 1725 pounds of payload and it can reach 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Fuel economy in 2024 with the manual transmission was 16 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway. But with the eight-speed automatic the 2024 and 2025 Gladiator both give you an estimated 17 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.

Interior highlights

Inside the cabin, the 2024 and 2025 Gladiator models both have an upright dashboard like the Wrangler. Both give you a unique waterproof push-button start system, something you won't find on many other vehicles. Available features include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel and the stretched wheelbase gives passengers more legroom in the back seat than the four-door Wrangler. The Gladiator for both 2024 and 2025 has several places to store a smartphone and there's a special compartment located under the back seats. The new Gladiator models will even allow you to store the seats in multiple ways.

Technology

Both the 2024 and 2025 Jeep Gladiator have a large 12.3-inch center touchscreen that's easily visible in all lighting conditions and the system responds quickly to your touch. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration is a standard feature and you can upgrade the stereo for both model years with an optional subwoofer and a portable wireless speaker behind the back seat. For both 2024 and 2025, passengers in the front seat have power connections that include two USB ports and an available 115-volt power outlet.
