What's New in the Ram 1500 for 2025?
Ram replaced the 1500's Hemi V8 engine with two new twin-turbocharged inline-six motors for 2025. These engines produce 420 and 540 horsepower, respectively. The Ram 1500 looks slightly different externally, with a sleeker, wider grille, and thinner LED headlights. Inside, the new 1500 has larger touchscreens and fancier optional cabin materials.
Trim Level Differences Between the 2025 and 2024 Ram 1500
The Ram 1500 is still available in multiple trim levels, but the 2024 version's TRX trim has been replaced by a new Tungsten model. This trim has premium leather seating, authentic wood and carbon fiber accents, bright metal speakers, and a suede headliner. Ram carried over the 2024 Ram 1500's base engine, so the 2025 model still comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 motor that produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The two V8 engines from the 2024 Ram 1500 have been eliminated, while a twin-turbocharged inline-six engine making 420 horsepower and a high-output twin-turbocharged 540-horsepower motor take their place.
The 2025 Ram 1500 rides just as smoothly as the outgoing 2024 model because it still comes standard with a coil spring rear suspension. An available air suspension makes its ride even silkier. While the 2024 Ram 1500 could tow up to 12,750 pounds, the 2025 model has a towing capacity of 11,550 pounds. Clinton Township drivers who frequently carry lumber or equipment in the back of their trucks will appreciate that the 2025 Ram 1500 can haul a payload of up to 2,370 pounds. The 2024 version maxed out at 2,321 pounds.
Interior/Tech Features Comparison
The 2024 Ram 1500's available infotainment touchscreens were 8.4 or 12 inches long. For 2025, the optional screens are 12 or 14.4 inches in length.
